Frequently Asked Questions

A PT name must consist of at least 3 words. Each of those 3 words must have at least 3 letters. The name must be in Indonesian and cannot use foreign languages.

A CV name can consist of just 1 word and is allowed to use English.

If a PT name has only 2 words, it is likely that the PT was established before the enactment of Government Regulation No. 43/2011 regarding the Procedures for Application and Use of Limited Liability Company Names.

a. Written in Latin letters;

b. Not officially used by another company or substantially identical to another company's name;

c. Not contrary to public order and/or morality;

d. Not identical or similar to names of state, government, or international institutions, unless permitted;

e. Does not consist of numbers or non-word letter sequences;

f. Does not signify a company type, legal entity, or civil partnership;

g. Does not solely use the company's purpose and business activities as the name; and

h. Consistent with the company's purpose and business activities.
